Independence Elementary
Independence Elementary starts a new school year with a new look, feel and attitude. A major revitalization project, completed during the summer of 2009, includes new and remodeled classrooms, new lighting and flooring, and an upgraded electrical system to support 21st century technology. Landscaping and irrigation work, and a new enclosure for the kindergarten entrance add to the overall atmosphere of educational excellence at Independence.

The sounds of lockers slamming and children talking were replaced with the rattling of jackhammers and buzzing of drills in the Cherry Creek School District this summer.
